Baheya is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the early detection and treatment of breast cancer, with a mission to eliminate the disease by becoming the regional leader in this field. Central to its work is raising awareness about breast cancer and advancing women’s health overall. The foundation’s vision is to be the premier destination for women’s health and safety, offering comprehensive care and support.

At the heart of this mission is Baheya Hospital, a fully integrated medical facility specializing in breast cancer prevention, early detection, and advanced treatment. The hospital provides cutting-edge medical care alongside psychological support, ensuring holistic treatment for women at every stage of their journey. Designed to serve over 500,000 women annually, the facility includes operating rooms, patient residence rooms, and an emergency department, solidifying its position as a center of excellence in breast cancer care across Egypt and the Middle East.

Since 2022, Mansour has been a proud financial supporter of Baheya Hospital, with commitments extending through 2025. This partnership has enabled the establishment of key facilities, including a large waiting room, medical examination clinic, intensive care unit, and therapeutic catheter recovery room, further enhancing the hospital’s capacity to deliver exceptional care.

In 2024 and 2025, we continued our successful collaboration with Kheir We Baraka NGO to deliver the Read, Write, and Math Program, which strengthens foundational literacy and numeracy skills for primary school students. The program not only enhances performance in core subjects but also equips students with the essential abilities to utilize diverse learning resources effectively. Structured to run over 4 to 6 months, the program consists of 100 sessions, evenly divided between 50 sessions for reading and writing and 50 sessions for math.

Building on the achievements of 2023, we expanded the program in 2024 to an additional 300 students in Sohag, bringing the total reach in the governorate to 600 students. In 2025, our partnership extended to El-Minya Governorate, where we supported 420 students in public primary schools, further amplifying the program’s impact. To date, the initiative has reached 1,504 students and trained over 60 teachers, reinforcing sustainable progress in education.

In October 2023, Youssef Mansour established a joint cooperation agreement with the Egyptian Red Crescent to deliver critical aid to Gaza, with an aid package valued at 22 million EGP comprising food and medical supplies. The initiative was originally designed to provide 5 million 1.5-liter Hayat water bottles from our Siwa facility. However, due to severe Israeli restrictions on aid entry—allowing only a limited number of trucks into Gaza—and the rapidly deteriorating humanitarian situation, we adapted the relief strategy to prioritize the most urgent needs of displaced families in southern Gaza.

To maximize impact under these challenging conditions, our Chairman contributed over 40,000 cans of Sunshine tuna and 140,000 packs of Belhana triangled cheese, produced by Labanita (one of our group’s factories in Alexandria). Further expanding the relief effort, we donated 1 million medical syringes, while Kheir Zaman supermarket supplied 409,000 essential commodities—including rice, pasta, flour, halawa, beans, salt, and yeast—to help sustain vulnerable families. This flexible, needs-based approach ensured our assistance remained practical and impactful amid the crisis.

The Mansour Company has collaborated with the Egyptian Clothing Bank to promote the culture of donation and contribute to reducing waste. The initiative aims to provide clothing to those in need and raise awareness among employees of the importance of sustainable practices. Clothing donation boxes have been placed in the company’s headquarters in Cairo and Alexandria, allowing employees to donate their unwanted clothes at any time throughout the entire year.

The initiative started in Ramadan 2022 as a trial, and the response from employees has been overwhelmingly positive. The company has successfully collected more than ten large bags of clothing donations from employees in its Cairo headquarters alone.

This initiative is part of the Mansour Company’s ongoing commitment to social responsibility and sustainability. By partnering with the Egyptian Clothing Bank, the company is promoting the reuse and recycling of clothes and helping those in need. It is also raising awareness among employees of the importance of responsible waste management and the positive impact that their small actions can have on the environment.

The Egyptian Clothing Bank is a non-profit organization that collects, sorts, and distributes clothing to those in need across the country. They work to promote social solidarity and environmental sustainability by encouraging people to donate their unwanted clothes instead of throwing them away.

Youssef Mansour, Chairman of the Mansour Group, has announced his support for the Ayady association over the next five years to contribute to the development of the Ayady Hospital, which specializes in treating oncology. The NGO has established a hospital that treats all ages and types of cancerous tumors, free of charge for those who cannot afford it.

Since 2004, the hospital has been established with contributions from a group of donors, and the current value of the association’s investments now exceeds 600 million pounds, represented in equipment and facilities on an area of 8,400 square meters at the entrance to the city of Alexandria, serving all governorates.

The hospital has treated approximately 68,839 cancer cases since its establishment, with the help of thirty university professors and oncology consultants who provide medical supervision free of charge to those who are financially unable to pay. The NGO has also established the Department of Internal Reservation and Palliative Treatment, consisting of 45 beds and 5 intensive care beds for patients, and allocating 20 of them for palliative treatment, for advanced cases that other hospitals refuse to receive.

Among the hospital’s departments is the chemotherapy department, which receives 100 patients daily for chemotherapy sessions. The hospital also conducted 54,983 radiotherapy sessions in 2021 for about 2,647 patients. During the same year, the laboratory conducted 197,188 analyses, and the number of patients visiting the laboratory was 38,370. The Social Research Department conducted 2,576 new social studies during the year 2021/2020.

Given the achievements made by the hospital and the NGO, Youssef Mansour has pledged to provide substantial support to the NGO over the next five years. The Mansour Group calls on all businessmen and institutions interested in supporting social and health issues to provide contributions to expand the scope of work to include the treatment of the largest possible number of oncology patients nationwide.

The Mansour Group’s support for the Ayady association and its hospital is a testament to their commitment to providing quality healthcare for all. The NGO’s work in treating oncology patients free of charge has made a significant impact on the lives of many people in Egypt. With the support of Youssef Mansour and others, the NGO will continue to provide critical healthcare services to those who need it most.

The Mansour Company has partnered with Kheir Wa Baraka NGO to provide better education for primary students in the Al-Asmarat neighborhood. The “Read” program, which aims to improve and develop the reading and writing skills of students in primary education, has had a successful pilot test in the Tahya Misr schools of the Al-Asmarat district.

The “Read” program is aimed at improving the educational level of students in all subjects and preparing them to benefit from various learning resources. The initiative began with a 5-day training course for Arabic language teachers on the “Guideline for the Development of Reading and Writing Skills,” which included a set of practical applications to provide the participating teachers with the necessary skills to implement the program with the children.

A pretest was conducted with over 184 students in Tahya Misr Schools in the Al-Asmarat district to identify their levels of writing and reading skills. One hundred and three students between the ages of 10 to 12 were selected to join the 4-month course, which included over 21 sessions with no more than 25 students per session. The average improvement in the children’s writing and reading skills was 154% from their pre-and post-tests. The program ended in February 2022, and the children successfully passed the course and were honored with prizes and gifts. The participating teachers were also recognized and given certificates of appreciation for their role in the success of the program.

Due to the success of the program, The Mansour Company and Kheir Wa Baraka NGO have decided to scale up the project to benefit another 300 children, with 150 in the Al-Asmarat district and another 150 in the Aswan governorate. The program will continue to improve the educational level of primary students and provide them with the necessary skills to succeed in their academic and personal lives.

In conclusion, the partnership between Kheir Wa Baraka NGO and The Mansour Company has been a great success, with the “Read” program providing better education for primary students in the Al-Asmarat neighborhood. The program has shown significant improvements in the reading and writing skills of the participating students and has resulted in a plan to scale up the project to benefit more children. The program is a testament to The Mansour Company’s commitment to providing better education for young generations and improving their participation in their communities.

The center will also provide facilities for travelers to stay and learn about the local culture, attend classes conducted by locals, and volunteer in the local community activities. Volunteers and guests will have the opportunity to learn traditional Bedouin craftmanship from older members of the community and ensure that these ancient skills are passed down to future generations. The centre already provides vital medical services to residents of Saint Catherine.

The centre builds on the project’s first phase, which saw the construction of a clinic and a gallery in 2018.

Mr Youssef Mansour, [Co-Chair of the Mansour Group], said: “We are very grateful for the opportunity to support this hugely important development and improve the lives of the people of St Catherine, an area blessed by its history, religion and culture that should be protected and preserved. We hope that the centre will continue to educate and support the local community for generations to come.”
