KHEIR ZAMAN
Under the Metro Market umbrella, Al Mansour Holding Company launched the Kheir Zaman chain in 2006, offering various food products at affordable prices to meet the consistent budget needs of lower-income consumers.
Today, the chain has grown to include over 120 outlets covering 17 governorates throughout Egypt, with further expansion expected in the near future. Kheir Zaman’s innovative concept offers a competitive edge in the market by providing heavy discounts. In 2018, the chain introduced its new “hard soft” discount stores, supplying customers with essential goods at deeply discounted prices, without compromising quality or the standards customers have come to expect.
Each Kheir Zaman outlet offers local products that are essential to daily life, covering up to 90% of consumers’ needs and all provided at competitive prices. To meet the demand for high-quality items at reduced prices, Kheir Zaman has begun producing private-label food products that cover over 10% of any household’s necessities, with plans to increase its variety of products in the years to come.
The hard discount stores have shown significant success since their inauguration, with the chain expanding immensely from 56 outlets at the end of 2017 to 120 outlets by 2022.
