In October 2023, Youssef Mansour established a joint cooperation agreement with the Egyptian Red Crescent to deliver critical aid to Gaza, with an aid package valued at 22 million EGP comprising food and medical supplies. The initiative was originally designed to provide 5 million 1.5-liter Hayat water bottles from our Siwa facility. However, due to severe Israeli restrictions on aid entry—allowing only a limited number of trucks into Gaza—and the rapidly deteriorating humanitarian situation, we adapted the relief strategy to prioritize the most urgent needs of displaced families in southern Gaza.

To maximize impact under these challenging conditions, our Chairman contributed over 40,000 cans of Sunshine tuna and 140,000 packs of Belhana triangled cheese, produced by Labanita (one of our group’s factories in Alexandria). Further expanding the relief effort, we donated 1 million medical syringes, while Kheir Zaman supermarket supplied 409,000 essential commodities—including rice, pasta, flour, halawa, beans, salt, and yeast—to help sustain vulnerable families. This flexible, needs-based approach ensured our assistance remained practical and impactful amid the crisis.
